Starline Brass - 44 COLT (100pk)

The .44 Colt is a historic revolver cartridge originally developed for Colt's cartridge conversion revolvers, including conversions of the famous 1860 Army percussion revolver. It played an important role during the transition from cap-and-ball firearms to metallic cartridge revolvers and remains a favourite among collectors, black powder enthusiasts, and Cowboy Action shooters who appreciate historically correct firearms and ammunition.

Dimensionally, the modern .44 Colt case is very similar to the .44 Special, being approximately 0.050" shorter and featuring a smaller rim diameter comparable to the .41 Magnum. This makes it an excellent choice for original and reproduction Colt conversion revolvers while maintaining the strength and consistency expected from modern Starline brass.

Note: This brass is intended for .44 Colt and cartridge conversion revolvers. Starline recommends using an RCBS #30 shellholder (which may require slight modification to clear the extractor groove), RCBS #21 shellholder, or Lee #3 shellholder, depending on your reloading setup.
