More from AI;

You are referring to a specific configuration of the German Karabiner 98k (K98k) bolt-action rifle, a legendary military firearm derived from the Mauser Model 98Â system. [1, 2]

Here is a breakdown of what these exact specifications mean:

• Mauser Werke AG, Berlin-Borsigwalde:Â This indicates the specific manufacturing facility. The Berlin-Borsigwalde plant was an auxiliary factory for Mauser. On the receiver ring of the rifle, this origin is typically identified by wartime manufacturer codes stamped into the metal, such as S/243, 243, or ar. [1]
• Winter Trigger Guard (Winterabzug):Â This is a specialized, stamped-steel accessory or late-war design change featuring a drastically enlarged trigger loop. It was developed by Germany specifically for harsh Eastern Front conditions to allow soldiers to safely pull the trigger while wearing thick, heavy winter gloves or mittens. [1, 2]

7.92x57mm: This is the standard, hard-hitting 8mm Mauser cartridge (also known as 8×57mm IS) used by the German military throughout both World Wars. [1, 2]
