If you've been following GTA in the Wild on YouTube or social media, you might have noticed a new name popping up. GTA in the Wild is now WildHeart Pursuits.

First, the important bit. Gun Traders Australia isn't going anywhere, and neither is Women Who Hunt. Neither one is being rebranded, replaced or folded into something else. Both carry on exactly as they are, doing the jobs they were built to do.

The only thing changing is the name of our adventure and storytelling content. Here's why.

Where GTA in the Wild came from

GTA in the Wild started as the outdoor side of Gun Traders Australia. Gun Traders is an online firearms classifieds platform, and behind every listing there's a person, a hunt, a trip or a story. GTA in the Wild was how we shared that side of things: the people, the hunting trips and the experiences behind the community.

Then the content grew

Somewhere along the way, what we were filming started to look less like "Gun Traders content" and more like our actual life.

Yes, there was hunting. But there was also camping, travel, nights around the fire, cooking and harvesting wild food, meeting interesting people, family trips, and all the stories that happen in between. Some of our favourite moments had nothing to do with a firearm at all.

The name GTA in the Wild tied all of that back to a marketplace. It didn't really fit anymore, and it wasn't fair on Gun Traders either. A classifieds platform doesn't need to be the face of our campfire cooking.

Women Who Hunt has its own job to do

At the same time, Women Who Hunt has grown into a strong brand and community of its own. Its focus is clear: helping women get into hunting and thrive in it, through education, training, connection, events and storytelling.

We didn't want to blur that by running all our family adventure content through Women Who Hunt. It deserves to stay focused on the women it's there for.

So we needed a home that sits alongside both

What we needed was a content brand that could sit naturally next to Gun Traders Australia and Women Who Hunt without being boxed in by either of them. It had to be somewhere hunting fits, but so do camping, travel, wild food, conservation, people, places, outdoor skills, and the experiences that don't involve hunting at all.

That's WildHeart Pursuits.

What the name means

Our line for it is: In pursuit of all things wild, led by our hearts.

For us, life is about the pursuit. Getting outside. Having a crack. Learning things, often the hard way. Meeting people, seeing wild places and following whatever makes life interesting.

To be clear about who we are: we're not elite hunters, survival experts or outdoor celebrities. We're an Australian family (Glenn, Ethan and me) learning as we go, getting out and exploring, and sharing the people and experiences we come across along the way. That's what it's always been. Now it just has a name that fits.

What this means for you

If you're here for Gun Traders Australia, the platform keeps running exactly as it always has.

If you're subscribed to the GTA in the Wild YouTube channel, you don't need to do anything. It's the same channel, now called WildHeart Pursuits. Everything you've watched is still there, and you're coming along with us.

If you're part of Women Who Hunt, the education, training, events and community you know all continue as they are.

WildHeart Pursuits is simply where our stories live now. If you've enjoyed the hunting trips, the camp cooking and the people we've met so far, that's all still part of it. There's also finally room for the things that never quite fit under the old name.
